A big screen for watching movies, a big screen for playing games, a big screen for reading and that exactly comes with the Xiaomi’s new android Phablet.
The Chinese mobile vendor Xiaomi has launched its big screen android phablet – Xiaomi Mi Max in India. As the name tells Mi Max packs a tablet like big full HD screen, Snapdragon SoC, 4G LTE with VoLTE support, android marshmallow and to power it all a bigger battery.
First, to the pricing, there are two variant of Xiaomi Mi Max currently up for sale. The 3GB RAM, 32GB storage, and Snapdragon 650 processor, Mi Max variant is priced Rs 14,999. The pricing will go all way up to Rs 19,999 for the 4GB RAM, 128GB storage, and Snapdragon 652 processor variant. Both variants will be available on Mi.com and the first flash starts on 6th July 2016 at 2 PM.

How big the phone be, Xiaomi Mi Max got a thin profile with just 7.5mm thickness and got a metal unibody design to give a premium touch. The 2.5D curved glass offers a smooth edge on the front sides. Overall the phablet weighs just 203 grams on hand.
To the main attraction point, the Mi Max flaunts a big 6.44-inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixel and a pixel density of 342 ppi. The big screen offers lots of room for enjoying movies, playing games, reading books, browsing the web, working on documents and soon.
Under the hood, the Xiaomi Mi Max is powered by 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 hexacore processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage option. The higher variant to Mi Max is powered by a 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor coupled with 4GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. Both variants got support for microSD cards to further expand the storage up to 128GB.
If you are looking for more performance, multitasking and gaming then go for the top-of-the-line Mi Max variant that got more RAM, lots of storage and an additional powerful Cortex A72 cores in the Snapdragon 652 processor.
On the photography side, the Xiaomi Mi Max comes with a 16-megapixel camera on the back with two-tone flash, 5-element lens, f 2.0 aperture and PDAF support. On the front, the phablet got a 5-megapixel camera with an 85-degree wide angle and got 36 smart beauty profiles for those stunning selfies. The back camera can shoot full HD videos at 30 frames per second (fps) and HD slow motion videos at 120 fps.
For connectivity, the Xiaomi Mi Max got dual SIM option that supports 4G LTE with VoLTE support (supports all Indian 4G LTE bands), 3G and 2G networks along with WIFi and Bluetooth options. To power the hardware, the phablet carries a big 4,850mAh battery which supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge.
For added security, the Xiaomi Mi Max comes with a fingerprint scanner at the rear. It can do additional functionality like locking apps, hide folders, privatize notes and enable Child mode.
