More than just concept, the full-screen bezel-less second-generation Mi MIX 2 android smartphone has been launched in India, by the Chinese mobile vendor Xiaomi. On the front, you just have that gorgeous display which leaves very little space for the bezel and chin. The mobile features top-notch hardware including Snapdragon 835 SoC, flagship camera, ceramic build and 4G LTE that support around 43 bands.

Already feeling the excitement to purchase this smartphone? The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 will retail at a price tag of Rs 35,999 for the 128GB storage variant. The mobile will be Flipkart exclusive and sale will start on 17th October 2017. Flipkart has packed some exclusive launch day offers.

Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 a Quick Spec Rundown

The Mi MIX 2 uses an ultra slim aluminum frame and has four-side curved ceramic unibody construction. The mobile flaunts a gorgeous 5.99-inch 18:9 full-screen full HD+ 2160 × 1080 display with near bezel-less design. The bottom of the screen has a narrow bezel housing the front-camera and other sensors. Unlike the previous generation Mi MIX, the newest Mi MIX 2 has the sound guided speakers and ultrasonic proximity sensors hidden on the top side of the phone.

Under the hood, the Mi MIX 2 is powered by a 2.45GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM. The mobile comes in three storage variants, 64GB, 128GB and 256GB internal storages. In India, only the 128GB storage variant is currently available to purchase.

In Mi MIX 2 you could find the same primary camera of Mi 6. That’s a 12-megapixel rear camera featuring Sony INX386 sensor, optical image stabilization, PDAF, HDR, f/1.8 aperture and dual-tone LED flash. For selfie addicts, there is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with Beautify mode. Due to the awkward position of the front camera (down on the bottom right), you probably need to actually flip the phone upside down to correctly take your selfies.

As for connectivity, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 covers 6 modes and 43 bands in total, which also support every Indian telco’s 4G band. In addition, the mobile also supports VoLTE for HD voice and video calling. Other connectivity option includes 3G and 2G network support, 2.2 dual Wi-Fi technology, and Bluetooth 5.0. The mobile runs on Android Nougat with MIUI 9.0 skin over the top. For extra security, there is a fingerprint scanner on the back of the device. Giving the juice to run the phone for hours is a  3,400mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support.
