Looking out for a quality Bluetooth headset that can offer really great sound quality for both voice calls and music. Chinese mobile vendor Xiaomi has brought the Mi Bluetooth Headset (Basic) in India. Weighing just 6.5g, the Bluetooth headset comes with both music and volume controls.

Mi Bluetooth Headset Basic is priced at Rs 899 and up for pre-order at Mi.com. For colour choices, you only get to choose the black colour variant. There is also a white colour variant which may soon launch in India in the coming months.

Hardware and functionality

Coming to the aesthetic and hardware part, the Mi Bluetooth Headset is ultra small and lightweight with 6.5g. Never judge with its small size as the headset is designed to produce a natural, high-definition sound. For this, the headset includes a rounded sound cavity, high-quality Bluetooth chip, magnetised moving coil speaker, ceramic antenna, and noise-cancelling silicone microphone.

Xiaomi launches Mi Bluetooth Headset (Basic) with Nano-coating, Bluetooth 4.1

Xiaomi has kept the Mi Bluetooth Headset Basic speaker output structure at a narrow 3mm. This allows optimised sound quality in the mid and high frequencies. It also ensures the noise is significantly reduced. For extra protection, the headset is covered in nano-coating technology making it water, oil and sweat resistant.

The Mi Bluetooth Headset Basic got two volume rocker buttons on the right side along with the microphone placed down below. The volume rocker buttons can be used to adjust volume during phone calls along with music controls. For functionality, the two rocker buttons can accept or end voice calls, reject calls, redial number, transfer calls and three-way calls. Long pressing on the up or down volume buttons can be used to skip or replay music without unlocking the smartphone. In addition, it can also be used to play or pause a music and adjust music volume.

Connectivity

For connectivity, the Mi Bluetooth Headset Basic uses Bluetooth 4.1. This essentially reduces 4G network interferences, improving device compatibility, stability, and improved power efficiency. It can also filter out ambient noise and emit low radiation. For the battery, Xiaomi claims the headset to offer three-to-four hours of talk time, 100 hours of standby, 50,000 presses of button lifespan and can be paired with 2 devices simultaneously. Xiaomi has also included three different earbud sizes with the Bluetooth headset. All made with soft silicone, these earbuds offer a tight seal and comfortable fit.
