The Chinese mobile vendor Xiaomi launched its second-generation power banks in India, the Mi Power Bank 2. There are two variants of Mi Power Bank 2 with different battery capacity up for sale. The 20000mAh Mi Power Bank 2 with a price tag of Rs 2,199 and 10000mAh Mi Power Bank 2 with a price tag of Rs 1,199. Both power banks are available through Amazon India.
Going through the feature list of both Mi Power Bank 2, they both packs a high-density lithium polymer battery. It got a scratch and slip resistant built with environment-friendly PC and ABS. For extra protection, Xiaomi has adopted nine layers of circuit chip protection. This includes temperature resistance, protection from short circuit, input/output oovervoltageprotection, protection from overcharge and over-discharge, protection from incorrect insertion, protection from output over current, PTC protective circuits for the cell and resets mechanism.
Mi Power Bank 2 is compatible with 5V/2A, 9V/2A, and 12V/1.5A charging. It can intelligently adjust power output according to the device connected up to 18W to deliver fast and efficient charging. The 20000mAh Mi Power Bank 2 comes with ultra-fast Quick Charge 3.0 support and has dual USB output.
The power banks can also offer low power charging for your devices such as Bluetooth headsets or fitness bands like Mi Band 2. For activating low power charging you only need to double press the charge button once you have connected the device. To charge your Type-C devices, you have to opt for a Type-C adapter which can be paired with your Type-C USB cable for charging.
Coming to the actual usage case, the 20000mAh Mi Power Bank 2 can easily charge Mi 5 more than five times. Whereas you can charge an iPhone 7, almost 7 times and even iPad Mini 2 around 2.5 times. The 10000mAh Mi Power Bank 2 is also equally capable as it can fully charge a Mi 5 around 2.4 times or an iPhone 6 around 3.7 times. Finally, to fully charge your 10000mAh Mi Power Bank 2 it would take around 4.2 hours on an 18W charger. Whereas the 20000mAh Mi Power Bank 2 would take around 6.2 hours on a 9V/2A 12V/1.5A OEM charger.
