Traveling abroad for a few days and don’t want to get shocked by the rising bill from your incoming and outgoing calls or using the mobile internet for a while. Indian telecom operator Vodafone India has launched what they say India’s best international roaming plan.
Under the new daily international roaming pack, both prepaid and postpaid customers can get free incoming voice calls, outgoing voice calls at Rs 1 per minute and data usage at Rs 1 per MB.
The daily international roaming pack is available at a rate of Rs 500 per day. Once activated you can get free incoming calls, outgoing calls at Rs 1 per minute, SMS rates at Rs 1 per SMS and data charges at Rs 1 per MB. You can choose the roaming pack validity from 1 day to 10 days according to your travel schedule.
The new Vodafone international roaming plan is valid across 34 countries, including USA, Australia, China, Italy, Germany, UAE and South Africa. You can activate the daily pack by just SMS ‘ACT IROAMDAILY <no of days>‘ to 199.
At first it seems a big costly plan, but actually, if you check the normal roaming rates, then incoming calls itself will cost your Rs 50 minute. Outgoing calls are normally going upwards of Rs 150.
