As a delight on Diwali, to those who are traveling outside India, Vodafone India has massively slashed their international roaming rates for both Prepaid and Postpaid customers by 78% on all outgoing local and international calls voice calls and up to 95% discount on mobile internet usage.
The discounted internal roaming rates are applicable to Vodafone customers traveling to 53 countries including US, UK, Singapore, UAE etc.
Vodafone has introduced two new international roaming plans for its Postpaid customers – IROAM 599 and IROAM 1499. Customers subscribing to IROAM 599 will have to pay a rental of Rs 599 which comes with a validity of 10 days. Under this plan customers can make local outgoing calls at Rs 15 per minute, international calls at Rs 30 per minute, all incoming calls at Rs 30 per minute, outgoing SMS at Rs 15 per SMS and mobile internet data charges at Rs 30 per MB usage. To activate the plan customers just need to SMS ActIR1 to 111. For longer validity plan customers can subscribe to IROAM 1499 which offers the same voice and data discount for 30 days. To activate the plan customers need to SMS ActIR2 to 111.
For Prepaid customers, they need to recharge or buy vouchers of Rs 673 or Rs 1684 which provides validity of 30 days. Under this plan customers can make local outgoing calls at Rs 28 per minute, international calls at Rs 56 per minute, all incoming calls at Rs 28 per minute, outgoing SMS at Rs 15 per SMS and mobile internet data charges at Rs 2.20/ 10 KB usage.
