Love to take those beautiful selfies? Vivo has come up with another true selfie-focused android smartphone in India – the Vivo Y66. The mid-range mobile features 16-megapixel selfie camera on the front, HD display, octa-core processor with 3GB of RAM and 4G VoLTE.
Going first through the pricing, the Vivo Y66 comes with a price tag of Rs 14,980. The mobile will be available with online and offline mobile retailers across India. Other than selfie if you like music, then Vivo is packing six months of Saavn Pro subscription with the smartphone.
Design and Power
The Vivo Y66 got a metal unibody design with smooth curved edges on the sides. The mobile flaunts a 5.5-inch IPS 1280 x 720 HD display that covered by a 2.5D curved glass over the top. The screen also features eye protection mode that filters out blue light to protect your eye and prevent eye strain.
Under the hood, the mobile is powered by a 1.5 GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6750 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. For storing all your selfies and other media content the mobile carries 32GB of internal storage. You can further expand the storage up to 256GB using microSD card.
Camera and connectivity
Now the main part of the smartphone, the Vivo Y66 packs a 16-megapixel selfie camera on the front. It features f/2.0 aperture, moonlight glow and faces beauty mode. The pictures you take on the camera has great clarity and vivid natural colours. On the back, the mobile comes with a 13-megapixel camera. It features f/2.2 aperture and LED flash support.
On the connectivity side, the Vivo Y66 supports 4G LTE network which works with every telco’s 4G bands in India. It also comes with VoLTE support for making HD voice and video calls. Other connectivity options include 3G and 2G network support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.0 and USB 2.0. The mobile runs on Android 6.0 OS with Funtouch OS 3.0 skin over the top. To fuel the whole device, it carries a 3000mAh battery on the back and features Smart Engine 2.0 battery management system.
