India’s emerging telecom operator Videocon mobile service has partnered with Nokia Siemens Networks for its 4G LTE network roll out in India. According to various media reports Videocon is all set to launch 4G LTE service in India by second half of 2013.

Videocon tie up With Nokia Siemens Networks For 4G Rollout

We intend to engage Nokia Siemens Networks as our Technology partner for our 4G Network Rollout in the country. The partnership will be a revolutionary step in bringing next generation of efficient mobile broadband services. 4G Network is capable of providing comprehensive IP based telecom solutions that allows voice, data and streamed multimedia services in a seamless manner at much higher data speed than the existing generation network including 2G and 3G.

This, going forward shall address consumer requirement of enhanced data service experience including Video Chat, Mobile TV, HD TV content, digital video broadcasting etc and overhaul the existing mobile data communication in the country Nokia Siemens Network is our technology partner for 2G Network, and we are very happy with the services offered. In the recent held spectrum auction Videocon won liberalized spectrum license in six telecom circles which includes Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Haryana,Gujarat UP west, UP east, Bihar and Jharkhand. With this license one can use it for both voice and data services on 2G, 3G and 4G LTE services. Videocon will be using special 4G based FDD LTE technology to deploy next generation services in the country.
