In wake of recent demonetization of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes by Government, you are being pushed towards the new world of digital payments. There is now numerous way to go cashless and completely digital. Like the newly-launched Bharat Interface for Money (BHIM) app, UPI, Aadhaar-enabled payment system and USSD.
To address your doubts and question while using various digital payment platforms Department of Telecom (DoT), Nasscom, telecom operators, and NITI Aayog has come together to launch a dedicated toll-free helpline number – 14444. Cash Mukt Bharat Abhiyan Helpline, which government calls the service, offers the general public a single point contact addressing all queries on digital payments.
The 14444 helpline number is currently available for users in North as well as Eastern part of the country. Helpline will be soon expanded to other parts of India in the coming months. Users having doubts regarding any digital payment services can call up the helpline which is offered in both English and Hindi languages. General queries on digital payments are responded via interactive voice response system. For specific queries, you can choose to speak directly with an agent who will then help you in understanding the digital payment methods.

The service is provided with the help of by IT-BPO companies along with private sector telecom companies. Currently, all cost of the project is being borne by the industry itself. Government plans to provide financial support for the initiative after taking into account the emerging call traffic patterns.
