Sony has launched its super premium android smartphone under its Xperia XZ series in India – Sony Xperia XZs. On a quick glance, the mobile features super slow motion camera, Motion Eye camera system, water and dust resistant and 4G with VoLTE support.

But wait before betting your money, other than the extraordinary camera, the Sony Xperia XZs packs previous year hardware. This includes the Snapdragon 820 processor and full HD display. Super slow motion camera

Before digging deep through the hardware, we first need to know about camera innovations packed in Sony Xperia XZs. It’s the same camera that goes in the flagship Sony Xperia XZ Premium smartphone. According to Sony the camera so advanced it captures motion that the human eye can’t see. The camera brings tech you usually see in Sony Cyber-shot and other premium compact cameras. The mobile camera packs the new Motion Eye camera system which also features a memory stacked Exmor RS sensor. The result is 5x faster image scanning and data transfer.

Sony Xperia XZs can record videos at 960 frames per second, for Super slow motion playback. With Predictive Capture, the camera starts buffering images one second before you press the shutter button. So you won’t miss any of those memorable moments. The camera comes with 5-axis image stabilisation that compensates for shaking movements in five different directions. This allows you to capture shake-free, smooth videos.

On the back, Sony Xperia XZs got a 19-megapixel camera. It features all the above goodies along with f/2.0 aperture, HDR support, and 4K video recording support. On front for selfie lovers, the mobile comes with the 13-megapixel camera. It features 1/3.06-inch low light sensor, 22mm wide angle lens and Exmor RS for mobile image sensor.

Design and Performance

Now to the aesthetic part of Sony Xperia XZs, the keeps the same design language of its other Sony phones. The fingerprint sensor is integrated into the power button on the side. As with any Sony mobile, the Xperia XZs is also protected against water spills and dust, thanks to the IP68 rating. Under the hood, the Sony Xperia XZs is powered by a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. Connectivity and Extras

Talking about connectivity, the Sony Xperia XZs supports 4G LTE network along with VoLTE that work with every Indian telcos 4G band. Other connectivity option includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, and USB Type-C. The mobile runs on the Android Nougat OS which packs some Sony extras.
