Samsung has officially released the “Fan Edition” – Samsung Galaxy S20 FE android smartphone in India. The smartphone is essentially a toned-down version of the flagship Galaxy S20 and Note20 series, yet it surprisingly feature-rich. It packs powerful internals, tripe rear camera array, AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and closely follows the design language that matches its big brothers.
Coming to the Indian pricing first, Samsung Galaxy S20 FE is currently only available in a single 8GB RAM + 128 GB storage variant with only 4G network support and is priced at Rs 49,999. However, you get to choose from all the five colour options – Cloud Red, Cloud Orange, Cloud Lavender, Cloud Mint, Cloud Navy and Cloud White.
Pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE in India kick starts on October 9 and will go on sale starting this October 16. The phone will be available exclusively through Amazon India, Samsung India online store and Samsung’s vast offline retailers across India.
You can read the detailed specifications and features of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE in our original article. But, one thing you need to know is the processor behind the smartphone. For the Indian version of Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, the company is using its own octa-core Exynos 990 processor instead of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor available in its phones globally. Also, not much of a deal-breaker, the company is only launching the 4G variant of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE in India. We possibly would not be getting the 5G variant, as there is no telecom operator to support that network.
