Banging on its gorgeous super AMOLED display, Samsung has launched the worthy successor of its popular Galaxy On7 (2016) smartphone – the Galaxy On8. On a quick glance, the smartphone comes with full HD sAMOLED display, 3GB of RAM, an octa-core processor, 13-megapixel camera and high-speed 4G VoLTE connectivity.

First, on to the pricing, the Samsung Galaxy On8 comes with a price tag of Rs 15,990. Well for the availability, the smartphone will be sold exclusively on Flipkart during the Big Billion Sale starting 2nd October 2016.

Back to the phone, the Samsung Galaxy On8 got a premium look and feel with its brushed metal and diamond cut finish. The mobile flaunts a 5.5-inch full HD Super AMOLED display that brings crisp and natural colours to the images. If you are looking for some extra styles, the smartphone comes in Gold, White and Black colour options.

Under the hood, Samsung Galaxy On8 is powered by a 1.6 GHz Exynos 7580 S5E7580 octa-core processor that coupled with 3GB of RAM. This combination offers immense gaming and multitasking capabilities. For storage, the mobile comes with 16GB inbuilt storage that can be expanded further up to 128GB using microSD card.

For photography side, the Galaxy On8 comes equipped with a 13-megapixel camera on the back with an f1.9 aperture. On front for selfie lovers, the mobile got a 5-megapixel camera with the same f/1.9 aperture. Both front and rear cameras got LED flash support.

Coming to the connectivity the Samsung Galaxy On8 has dual SIM capability and supports high-speed 4G LTE (supporting all Indian 4G bands) along with VoLTE for HD voice calls. Naturally, the phone also supports 3G and 2GG networks. Other connectivity options include WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1 and NFC. The smartphone runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI on top.

Samsung has packed some useful utilities with the Galaxy On8 specifically taking Indian users in mind. One of them is the ultra data saving (UDS) mode that can save up to 40 percent of your internet data usage. Another is the S bike mode that helps bike users in safely attending phone calls while driving.
