Catching up with the rivals in the mid-range android smartphone segment, Samsung has launched the upgraded variant of last year’s Galaxy On7 and Galaxy On5 smartphones in India – the all new Galaxy On7 Pro and Galaxy On5 Pro.
Both smartphones got a much-needed upgrade under the hood with more RAM, double internal storage, and more powerful processor. Still, Samsung retained the design elements maintaining the premium faux leather back design. These phones now run on Android Marshmallow 6.0 and comes bundled with the popular S bike mode and Ultra Data Saving mode powered by Opera Max.
First, comes the pricing, Samsung Galaxy On5 Pro comes with a price tag of Rs 9,190 whereas, Samsung Galaxy On7 Pro got a price tag of Rs 11,190. Both smartphones are sold exclusively on Amazon India and comes with special launch offers. This includes a Rs 6000 worth holiday offer from Thomas Cook and an exclusive Idea Cellular Prepaid or Postpaid offer.
Samsung Galaxy On7 Pro
Maintaining its design style from the last year’s Galaxy On7, the new Samsung Galaxy On7 Pro comes in premium Faux leather back design. The mobile flaunts a 5.5-inch HD TFT display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. Under the hood the mobile is powered by 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor coupled with 2GB RAM and Adreno 306 GPU, giving it the much-needed processing power for multitasking.
On the photography side, the Galaxy On7 Pro comes with a 13-megapixel camera that has f/2.1 aperture and LED flash support. On the front for selfie lovers, the mobile got a 5-megapixel camera with 120-degree selfie mode and one can take the selfie with simple palm gesture.
For storage, the Samsung Galaxy On7 Pro comes with 16GB internal storage that can be further expanded up to 128GB using microSD card. The dual-SIM, dual-standby Samsung Galaxy On7 Pro comes with 4G LTE with support for all Indian 4G bands, 3G, 2G, WiFi and Bluetooth 4.1. The smartphone comes with Ultra Data Saving Mode powered by Opera Max, that can save up to 50% of your 4G data usage.

The Samsung Galaxy On5 Pro got the same design and build with the premium Faux leather back. The mobile flaunts a 5-inch HD TFT display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. Under the hood, the mobile is powered by Samsung’s own 1.3GHz Exynos 3475 quad-core processor coupled with 2GB RAM. For storage, the Galaxy On5 Pro comes with 16GB internal storage that can be further expanded up to 128GB using microSD card.
On the photography side, the Galaxy On5 Pro comes with an 8-megapixel camera that has f/2.2 aperture and LED flash support. On the front for selfie lovers, the mobile got a 5-megapixel camera with 120-degree selfie mode.
