Samsung India has unveiled, a so-called ‘budget’ variant of its premium Galaxy Note 3 smartphone – the Galaxy Note 3 Neo at a price tag of Rs 40,900. Featuring an 5.5 inch HD display along with first ever hexa-core cpu running on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and carrying all the functionality of S-Pen.

Galaxy Note 3 Neo take the exact design and form factor of original Note 3 but is slightly shorter in length with 148.8mm and width of 77.4mm, thus becoming much lighter by around 162 grams, while retaining the same thickness. It spots a 5.5 inch Super AMOLED display boasting only HD 720p. The device is powered by an hexa-core processor, which carries a group of two 1.7GHz Cortex A15 SoC and another group of four 1.3GHz quad-core Cortex A7 SoC along with 2GB RAM.

It packs an 16GB internal storage with support for microSD card slot that can be expanded up to 64GB. On the rear it got a 8 megapixel camera with BSI sensor and LED flash and on the front a 2 megapixel camera.

On the connectivity front it supports HSPA+, but there is an option for LTE support. Other options include Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, GPS/GLONASS and IR blaster. On the software front it runs on Android 4.3 JellyBean os with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI on top. It carries all the S-Pen functionality including the Air Command and Easy Clip features. To power them the device is equipped with an 3100mAh battery.
