Yes, an android smartphone for just Rs 251. Noida-based Ringing Bells has launched India’s most affordable (and may be world’s cheapest) 3G android smartphone – Freedom 251. Priced at Rs 251 the mobile offers hardware specification more than its price – featuring a qHD display, quad-core processor, 3.2-megapixel camera and 3G connectivity.
Freedom 251 will be available as a limited stock flash sale and booking starts from 18th February 2016 6 AM onwards.
Going parts by parts, the ultra-affordable Freedom 251 flaunts a 4-inch qHD IPS display with 960 x 540 pixels. The mobile is powered by 1.3 GHz Quadcore Processor (probably from the mediatek) coupled with 1GB RAM offering more than optimal performance. The smartphone carries 8GB internal storage that can be further expanded using microSD card up to 32GB. The mobile is not that good on photography end (can’t complain when seeing its price) as it got a 3.2-megapixel camera on the rear and on the front a 0.3-megapixel camera.
On the connectivity side, the Freedom 251 supports 3G and 2G along with usual WiFi and Bluetooth option. The smartphone runs on android Lollipop 5.1 and carries a 1450 mAh battery.
