Blackberry builders Research in Motion (RIM) has teamed up with India’s emerging telecom operator Tata Docomo to provide an exclusive free Data, Voice and SMS post-paid plans to owners of the GSM based BlackBerry Curve 9320.
With this partnership Blackberry Curve 9320 postpaid customers of Tata Docomo will be getting 600 free local and national minutes (now that roaming is free), 600 free SMSes, and unlimited BlackBerry Internet Services plan, with a 10GB download limit and after that speed will be capped and all this for a monthly rate of Rs 599.
About this partnership Sunil Tandon Head for Non-Voice Services at Tata Teleservices said “customers will be able to recover the cost of the BlackBerry Curve 9320 (roughly Rs. 15,500) within 15 months, as the plans are worth Rs. 1,080 monthly“.
“To avail the facility, customer can buy BlackBerry 9320 from any store across India but this offer which has 10 GB data download limit will be available on GSM network of Tata DoCoMo”, said RIM India’s Head of CDMA Business, Francis Jose.
With this partnership RIM is trying to make its Blackberry smartphone available in the hands of young Indians and professional . With value for money, this exclusive deal for Blackberry mobile seems to bring a break to RIM dipping Blackberry sales.
