Soon after the Diwali Dhamaka cashback offers ends, Reliance Jio has lots of tariff plan updates on its way. The operator has essentially killed the popular Rs 309 mobile plan, however, introduced a new Rs 459 Jio plan. In addition, there are lots of changes to the validity and data limit on most of Jio Plan.
The bad part, however, is the reduction in the data speed after your hit the fair usage policy (FUP) limit of the day. Reliance Jio has reduces the speed you get after FUP limit, down to 64 Kbps.
The new Rs 459 Jio Plan
First, let’s speak about the new Rs 459 Jio Plan. It’s essentially the old Rs 399 Jio plan hiked to the new recharge value. It offers almost the same benefits including 1GB of data benefits per day, unlimited voice calls and SMS benefits with a validity of 84 days. You also get premium access to Jio suite of apps like JioTV, JioMusic and JioCinema.
So what happened to the old Rs 399 Jio plan? Well, Reliance Jio has kept the mobile plan active with same data and voice benefits. But now it comes with a reduced validity. The Rs 399 Jio plan now comes with 70 days validity, instead of the earlier 84 days.

Reliance Jio Prepaid plans (Revised 19th Oct 2017)
In addition, to the new Rs 459 Jio Plan, the operator has made small but significant changes to the most of its prepaid Jio plans. Now, most of the Jio plans come with a change in the validity and data benefits. The one-day validity Rs 19 Jio plan, the popular Rs 309 Jio plan and the costliest Jio plan of Rs 9999 has been withdrawn.
The lowest monthly plan of Reliance Jio priced at Rs 149 now comes with an increase in data benefits to 4.2GB, instead of earlier 2GB. But, it comes with a new restriction in the form of daily data limit of 150 MB. After this FUP limit speed will be reduced to 64 Kbps.
There is a new 14-day validity Jio Plan costing around Rs 98. It comes with unlimited voice calls, 140 SMS and 2.1 GB of data benefits. The 7 days validity Jio plan now comes at a reduced recharge value of Rs 58. But, there is a cut in the data benefits from 7GB, all way down to 1.05 GB.
For heavy data users, Reliance Jio has kept the Rs 509 Jio plan but now comes with a reduced validity of 49 days. This plan comes with 2GB of daily data usage along with unlimited voice call and SMS benefits. If you are looking for a year-long Jio Plan, then recharge for Rs 4999 and get 350 GB of data usage with 360 days validity.

Reliance Jio Postpaid plans (Revised 19th Oct 2017)
Way similar to the revised prepaid plans, Reliance Jio has made small changes to its postpaid Jio plans. Now, every Jio postpaid plan comes with a validity of one month. The operator has completely withdrawn the Rs 349 and Rs 399 Jio postpaid plan. However, it has launched the new Rs 409 Jio postpaid plan with 20 GB of data benefits.
There is also a new Rs 799 Jio postpaid plan which comes with 3GB of daily data benefits. Other Jio postpaid plans remain the same offering unlimited voice calls, SMS and data.
