Reliance Jio launches Republic Day 2018 Plans, Rs 98 Jio Plan valid for 28 days

Reliance Jio has announced rest of its mobile tariff plans which are now live during the Republic Day 2018.

The telco has essentially upgraded the Rs 299 and Rs 509 mobile plan adding more data. The insane 5GB per day pack of Rs 799 has not got any price cut or extra data benefits. Similarly, the Long Term Packs seems to be untouched with same benefits as with the Happy New Year 2018 plans.

3GB per Day Packs

The existing Rs 299 mobile plan from Jio has been revised to offer 3GB of data per day for a period of 28 days. Thus you will get 84GB of data for the entire month.

4GB per Day Packs

The Rs 509 mobile plan from Jio now comes with 4GB of data per day for 28days. That’s 112GB of data for the entire month. The same mobile plan earlier only provided 3GB data per day for 28 days.

Just yesterday only, the telco unveiled Rs 49 JioPhone plan. This special mobile plan offers unlimited voice calls and unlimited data (capped at 1GB) for 28 days, exclusively for JioPhone users.

Once again disrupting the entire Indian telecom market, Reliance Jio has announced another massive mobile tariff plan change. Touted as the “Republic Day 2018 Jio Plans“, Jio subscribers will now get more data benefits at a lower recharge price point.

Essentially, Reliance Jio under the Republic Day 2018 plans has cut around Rs 50 from the earlier launched Happy New Year 2018 plans. The telco has also doubled or added more than 50 percent data benefits on most of its earlier plans. What’s make this new plans more attractive is that the cheapest monthly plan now starts at Rs 98.

The Rs 98 monthly Jio Plan

Reliance Jio has brought down its monthly mobile tariff plans to a very attractive price point of Rs 98. Under this, you will get unlimited voice calls, SMS and 2GB of 4G data benefits for a period of 28 days. Earlier the same plan only offered only 14 days of validity. That’s doubling the validity and making it one of the cheapest monthly mobile plan among the Indian telcos.

1.5GB per Day Packs

Reliance Jio has essentially reduced the price of the 1.5GB per day packs under the Happy New Year 2018 plans by Rs 50. So, now some of the popular mobile tariff plans from Jio offers 1.5GB of 4G data benefits per day. This includes the Rs 149, Rs 349, Rs 399, and Rs 449 mobile plans, with each offering 1.5GB of data per day.

The Rs 149 mobile plan is valid for 28 days, whereas the Rs 349 plan comes with a 70 days validity. Similarly, the Rs 399 mobile plan is valid for 84 days and lastly, the Rs 449 mobile plan has a validity of 91 days.

2GB per Day Packs

Earlier, Reliance Jio only had one mobile plan under the 2GB per day pack. But now under the Republic Day 2018 plans, the telco has introduced four Jio mobile plans within this category. They are essentially the old 1.5GB per day packs with increased data benefits of 2GB per day.

That’s said, the Rs 198 mobile plan now offers 2GB data per day or 56GB of data for 28 days. Whereas, the Rs 398 plan offers 140GB of data for a period of 70 days. The Rs 448 plan will offer 168 GB of data for 84 days and lastly, the Rs 498 plan will offer 182GB of data with a validity of 91 days.

The telco has yet to unveil details of its high-data offering packs and long-term packs. This new mobile tariff plans from the telco will be available to pan-India Jio subscribers starting 26th January 2018.
