It’s love all around! They may fight for supremacy, they may insult one another, and they are one of the biggest rivals. Still, in between them, there is love. During this Valentine’s Day, we got a glimpse of the love relationship between our biggest telcos.
Started first by the new entrant in the Indian telecom sector, Reliance Jio with a cute Valentine’s wish for India’s top three telcos Airtel, Vodafone India and Idea Cellular. Well, we can dig deep into the inner meaning of this tweet, still need to appreciate Jio for the friendly gesture.
Twitteratis have gone crazy over this one tweet and all were waiting for the response from the telcos. First to tweet back was Idea Cellular with a friendly response.
This was soon followed by a tweet from Vodafone India from its ZooZoo character saying “Let’s all be super this valentines’ day”.
However, the best response that got everyone attention came from Airtel. The operator’s Twitter handle tweeted back saying ‘Same feels’ and its ‘Har friend zaroori hota hai’ tagline with an evil smile.
Apart from the love business, Reliance Jio is having a dispute with top telcos Airtel, Vodafone and Idea over the points of interconnection (PoI). The issue got further to a new level when Airtel filling a complaint with Competition Commission of India (CCI) accusing Jio of ‘creating a monopoly for itself’ with its ‘predatory pricing’.
