Reliance Jio 4G LTE ‘Ten’ Tariff Plans – Prepaid & Postpaid

So finally we have the commercial Reliance Jio launch, super exciting Jio welcome offer for months, free voice calling forever and now the most important part the tariff plans to pay for. Is it free? yes, until 31st December 2016, after which you will need to choose a Jio Plan, that starts as low as Rs 19.

With Reliance Jio you don’t have to scribble around thousands of individual rates like one for voice, a rate cutter,  one for data, one for SMS etc. Reliance Jio has come up with ten tariff plans that pack everything from voice, data, messaging, apps subscription, and WiFi hotspots. You choose the one that’s fit for your budget and fit your needs.

Jio Prepaid Tariff plans

First, we start with Reliance Jio prepaid plans, which almost 90% of the Indian are interested in. The plans are super affordable, as it starts as low as Rs 19 and then goes all way up to Rs 4999. For all plans the voice calls to anywhere in India to any telecom network is free. The plans also pack free Jio Apps subscription worth Rs 1250.

The lowest plan starts at Rs 19 with a validity of one day, that just offers a taste of what’s Jio actually is for new users. It comes with 100 MB of 4G data benefits, but also packs unlimited 4G night data usage.

A proper monthly plan starts at Rs 149 which offers all the freebies like unlimited voice calling with free roaming facility and Jio apps subscription. For data needs, you got a 300MB 4G data benefits. This plan comes with a validity of 28 days.

For normal users, we think the Rs 499 Jio plan will be more suitable. It offers all the above freebies along with 4GB of 4G data benefits, unlimited 4G data usage on the night, 8GB JioNet WiFi data usage and unlimited SMS. This plan also comes with a validity of 28 days.

For super heavy data users, the Rs 4999 Jio plan is the ultimate choice. You will get 75GB of 4G data benefits, unlimited 4G data usage on the night, 150GB JioNet WiFi data usage and unlimited SMS. This plan also comes with a validity of 28 days.

Do note that unlimited 4G data usage on night means from 2 AM to 5 AM. So probably you might need to schedule heavy downloads during that time.

Jio Postpaid Tariff plans

Moving on to the Jio Postpaid plans, the monthly plans almost have the same voice, data, SMS and content freebies as prepaid plan. You get unlimited voice calls to anywhere and to any network in India, even on roaming. Jio Apps subscription is free and you will also get unlimited SMS.

The basic Jio Postpaid plan starts at Rs 149 per month which comes with free voice calls, free subscription to Jio Apps, 100 SMS limit, and 300MB 4G data benefits. We think this will be more suitable for people who do lots and lots of talking over the phone.

Next is the Rs 499 per month Jio postpaid plan which offers all the freebies of above plan, but got 4GB of 4G data benefits, unlimited 4G data usage on night and 8GB of JioNet WiFi data usage.

Jio 4g data add-on packs

In addition to the above normal Postpaid and Prepaid plans, Jio also got an array of 4G data add-on packs, if you need more 4G data benefits than your existing plan.

The 4G data add-on pack starts at Rs 151 which offers 1GB of 4G data usage and 1GB of WiFi data usage. The top data add-on pack is priced at Rs 5001 which will offer you 75GB of 4G data usage and 75GB of WiFi data usage.

The validity of all the 4G data benefits under the data top-ups will be co-terminus with the existing opted special tariff vouchers.

Students get 25% extra 4G data

On the way, if you are still studying in school or college, then you can get 25 percent additional 4G WiFi data benefits on all the above Jio Prepaid and Postpaid plans.

For that, you just need to provide a valid identity card with the Jio team.
