Reliance Communications (RCOM), one of India’s leading telecom operator has partnered with Lenovo to bring a range of affordable CDMA/GSM based smartphones for its customers base in India.
With this partnership RCOM aim’s to bring Reliance Lenovo co-branded smartphones and tablets that will run on Android OS, with minimum hardware capability of 1GHz dual core processor and long-lasting strong battery. This smartphones will run on both Reliance CDMA and GSM networks using the Reliance ‘dual-mode’ network to switch calls between the two networks automatically based on the strength and quality of the signal. According to various media reports RCOM and Lenovo will launch 4-5 Android smartphones under the price tag of Rs 8,000 within the next six months. RCOM will also offering special Voice and Data plans (All Share plans) with this smartphone, making it more attractive for customers to buy.

Reliance will be using its 2500 wide distribution retail stores and 1,000 Lenovo outlets to distribute this smartphones.
