Further expanding the Redmi 9 series, the Chinese mobile vendor Xiaomi has launched Redmi 9A in India. It’s a budget-friendly, yet featured-packed android smartphone. In a nutshell the phone packs octa-core processor, AI camera, premium design, big display and a large battery.
Redmi 9A is the entry-level to Redmi 9 series with a price tag starting at Rs 6,799 which is for the 2GB RAM and 32GB storage variant. There is also another 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant of the phone which will retail for Rs 7,499. For colour choices you got namely, Midnight Black, Nature Green, and Sea Blue. Initial sale for the phone will start on September 4 through Amazon India, Mi online store and Mi Home. It will also be available with Xiaomi’s offline retail partners across the country in the coming week.
Redmi 9A – Desh Ka Smartphone
Redmi 9A features a polycarbonate body that still offers a premium look, thanks to the Aura 360 design that’s been used in the Redmi 9 series starting Redmi 9 Prime and Redmi Note 9. It also features P2i Nano-coating which protects the phone from water splashes and spills.
The Redmi 9A flaunts a 6.53-inch HD+ IPS Dot Drop display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. It comes with Reading Mode, that’s been certified by TÜV Rheinland. Under the hood, the phone carries an octa-core MediaTek Helio G25 processor coupled with 2GB or 3GB RAM option and 32GB internal storage. You could further expand the storage up to 512GB using microSD card, which gets its dedicated card slot. The phone runs on MIUI 12, based on Android 10 OS.
Talking about photography, the Redmi 9A packs a single 13-megapixel rear camera module featuring F2.2 aperture. Whereas for selfies, the phone comes with 5-megapixel front-facing camera housed inside a waterdrop-style notch.
Connectivity option in Redmi 9A includes dual SIM support, 4G LTE, dual SIM VoLTE, VoWiFi, 2.4G Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0 and 3.5mm audio jack support. The phone is backed by a 5000 mAh battery that comes with a 10W Fast Charger in-box. According to the company, this battery can deliver 25 per cent increased charge cycles and will last 2 days of moderate usage.
