Kickstarting 2019 with a blockbuster product, Xiaomi has officially launched Redmi Note 7 Pro in India at an event in New Delhi. The phone joins Redmi Note 7, which also launched during the event. The Redmi Note 7 Pro, as the name suggests is the premium among the two with much powerful processor, more storage options and more importantly the 48-megapixel + 5-megapixel AI dual rear camera.

Before going through the specification, here goes the pricing of Redmi Note 7 Pro in India. The 4GB RAM with 64GB storage variant of Redmi Note 7 Pro is priced at Rs 13,999. Whereas, the 6GB RAM coupled with 128GB storage is offered at Rs 16,999. Both this variant will be available starting 13th March 2019 at 12 PM on Flipkart and Mi online store. For colour options, you get to choose from Neptune Blue, Nebula Red, and Space Black, in which the Neptune Blue and Nebula Red got a cool gradient finish.

Redmi Note 7 Pro Specifications

The Redmi Note 7 Pro sports an all-new glass design with both the front and the back portion of the phone is covered in glass. Thanks to the glass back, you get super cool gradient finish on Nebula Red and Neptune Blue colour options. For added durability, both the front and back is covered by 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass 5. Additionally, the smartphone comes with P2i nano-coating, which makes its slash-proof like from accidental liquid spills and light rain.

Redmi Note 7 Pro launched in India

Redmi Note 7 Pro flaunts a 6.3-inch Full-HD+ (2340 by 1080 pixel) Dot Notch display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the mobile is powered by a 2.0GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 AIE Octa-core processor paired with up to 845MHz Adreno 612 GPU. For RAM and storage options, you could choose from 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB of inbuilt storage options. As the phone equips a hybrid SIM slot, you could expand the storage up to 256GB via microSD card. The phone runs on Android Pie-based MIUI 10 OS.

48MP+5MP AI Dual rear camera

The main highlight of Redmi Note 7 Pro is its 48-megapixel + 5-megapixel AI dual rear camera setup. The 48MP Sony IMX586 camera sensor also features f/1.79 aperture and PDAF. Whereas, the 5MP secondary camera is a depth sensor. There are a number of artificial intelligence (AI) powered features, like AI Dynamic bokeh, AI Studio lighting, AI scene detection, AI Portrait 2.0, and Night mode.

For selfies, the Redmi Note 7 Pro packs a 13-megapixel front camera featuring AI Beautify and 12 scenes AI Scene detection. For videos, you could use the phone cameras to shoot 4K videos at 30fps. The phone cameras can also record slow-motion videos at 720p or 1080p on 120fps.

Connectivity options

The Redmi Note 7 Pro supports 4G LTE + VoLTE along with 3G and 2G connectivity. Other connectivity options include 2.4G WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack and IR Blaster. For security, there is a fingerprint sensor at the back of the device. Finally, the smartphone packs a 4000mAh battery with support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 4 technology.
