Along with the Redmi Note 7 Pro, Xiaomi has also officially launched the Redmi Note 7 in India. It’s the same smartphone which the company introduced in its home country last month. But for the Indian version, the company has stripped down the camera unit (which is now available on Redmi Note 7 Pro).

Going first through the pricing, the Redmi Note 7 starts at a price tag of Rs 9,999 for the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant. Whereas, the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version will be offered at Rs 11,999. For colour options, you could choose from Onyx Black, Ruby Red, and Sapphire Blue. Both variants of the phone will be available starting 6th March 2019 on 12 PM at Flipkart and Mi online store. It will also be available through selected offline retail chains.

Redmi Note 7 Specifications

Just like its premium sibling Note 7 Pro, the Redmi Note 7 sports an all-new glass design with both the front and the back portion of the phone is covered in glass. You also get the gradient finish with Ruby Red and Sapphire Blue colour options. For added durability, both the front and back is covered by 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Additionally, the smartphone comes with P2i nano-coating, which makes its slash-proof.

Redmi Note 7 launched in India

Redmi Note 7 flaunts a 6.3-inch Full-HD+ (2340 by 1080 pixel) in-cell LCD COG Dot Notch display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the mobile is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE processor paired with up to 650MHz AdrenoTM 512 GPU. For RAM and storage options, you get to choose from 3GB RAM + 34GB storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB of inbuilt storage options. You could also expand the storage up to 256GB via microSD card. The phone runs on Android Pie-based MIUI 10 OS.

AI Dual camera

The Redmi Note 7 comes with a dual camera setup at the rear. It’s a combination of a 12-megapixel sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. It also features an f/2.2 aperture and an array of artificial intelligence (AI) modes. The AI-powered features include AI Scene detection, AI Portrait mode and AI Beautify(4.0).

For selfies, the smartphone packs a 13-megapixel front camera featuring f/2.0 aperture and AI Beautify mode.

Connectivity options

The Redmi Note 7 supports Dual 4G LTE + VoLTE along with 3G and 2G connectivity. Other connectivity options include 2.4G and 5G WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth, USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack and IR Blaster. For security, there is a fingerprint sensor at the back of the device. Finally, the smartphone packs a 4000mAh battery with support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 4 technology.
