Filling the gap in its product line when compared to the Xiaomi’s, the Chinese vendor Realme has introduced its android TV-based Smart TVs in India. Launching in two sizes 32-inch (80cm) and 43-inch (108cm), these Smart TVs boast feature-rich models at an affordable price tag.

When talking about price, the Realme Smart TV has a base price of Rs 12,999 which is for the 32-inch model (1366 x 768 pixels / HD-Ready). While the 43-inch model (1920 x 1080 pixels / full-HD) is priced at Rs 21,999. Both these Smart TVs will be available exclusively through Flipkart and Realme official store. The first sale for both Smart TVs will happen on 2nd June 2020 at 12 noon.

On a quick note about the warranty, the Realme Smart TVs gets one year of TV/remote and one additional year for the panel.

Digging into the specifications and features of Realme Smart TVs, both sizes of the Smart TV boasts a premium bezel-less design with bezels as thin as 8.7mm. Both sizes come with an ultra-bright LED display with Chroma Boost picture engine. Yes, it’s the same picture engine found in Realme smartphones. When we’re saying ultra-bright, the Smart TVs can reach a peak brightness of up to 400 nits. Thus the screen is easily visible even during bright light. It uses advanced algorithms underneath to enhance the overall picture quality and improves the brightness, colour, contrast and clarity. It also offers a wide viewing angle of 178-degree and supports HDR10 and HLG videos.

For that immersive sound experience, Realme Smart TVs comes with two pairs of symmetrical speakers. Each of these speakers comprises one full-range speaker offering bass and clear vocals, and one tweeter. Thus forming a 24W quad stereo speaker system that also supports Dolby Audio.

Under the hood, both Realme Smart TVs packs a MediaTek quad-core processor coupled with Mali-470 MP3 GPU. It got 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage combination. For connectivity, you get 2.4G Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 support. Ports include three HDMI ports, two USB ports, one AV port, one LAN port, one digital audio out (SPDIF 1) and one ANT port.

Certified Android TV

Unlike the PatchWall UI in Xiaomi TVs, the Realme Smart TVs run on almost stock Android TV OS. As with any certified android TV, you have access to Google Play store from where you could download thousands of apps, games, movies, shows and music. Some of the popular apps are built-in including YouTube, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ hotstar and LiveTV. It also supports Google Assistant for a quick search around and other tasks. You could also cast pictures or videos directly from your phone, laptop or desktop to TV, as these Smart TVs comes with Chromecast built-in.

The all-in-one smart remote which comes with the Realme Smart TVs offer easy to use button layout. You could also find dedicated buttons mapped for Google Assistant, Netflix, Prime Video and YouTube.
