Power-packed in all the way you want in a mid-range android smartphone, the Xiaomi spin-off smartphone brand Poco has launched X3 in India. It’s the third smartphone from the brand, the other being – Poco M2 Pro and Poco X2. As you may have guessed, its the successor to the Poco X2 which was launched not so long back in February this year.

Counting the unique features, the Poco X3 is the first smartphone to run the Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G mobile processor. It got 120 Hz Realityflow Engine or refresh rate and 240 Hz touch sampling, packs massive 6000mAh battery and Sony AI Quad camera.

Writing first about the pricing, the Poco X3 price in India starts at Rs 16,999 for the 6GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. The 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant of the phone is priced at Rs 18,4999, whereas the top-end model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage gets a price tag of Rs 19,999. The phone is available in two colour options Cobalt Blue and Shadow Grey. The phone is available for purchase exclusively via Flipkart, and it will go on sale starting September 29.

Poco X3 Features and Specifications

Poco X3 features a ‘Go Faster’ design with its 3D curved back and side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It’s IP53 rated with the whole phone getting splash-proof protection all-around. The phone flaunts 6.67-inch full HD+ fullscreen display with 120 Hz refresh rate and 240 Hz touch sampling. This high refresh rate is managed by the ‘Dynamic Switch’ feature which would automatically switch the refresh rate based on the content your viewing. The display also comes with HDR 10 and Widevine L1 certification. The whole front of the screen is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Poco X3 smartphone launched in India

Under the hood, the Poco X3 is powered by the newest Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G mobile processor coupled with Adreno 618 GPU and with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. For storage, the phone comes packed with up to 128GB of internal storage and can be expanded up to 512GB using microSD card. The phone is also a gaming powerhouse thanks to the new chipset along with massive RAM module and LiquidCool Technology 1.0 Plus. Adding to that is the dual stereo speakers with support for high res audio. It also includes Qualcomm aptX HD that offers high-quality wireless HD sound, 24-bit music quality over Bluetooth and extremely minimal sound distortion.

Optics and Connectivity

Coming to photography, the Poco X3 features a quad-camera set-up at the back. These include a combination of 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 sensor with f/1.73 lens, a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 lens, 13-megapixel 119-degree ultra-wide sensor and a 2-megapixel macro sensor with f/2.1 aperture. On the front under the hole-punch cutout, we have the 20-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.2 lens.

Connectivity-wise, the dual SIM Poco X3 supports 4G LTE, VoLTE, VoWiFi, WiFi Bluetooth, IR Blaster, 3.5mm headphone jack and USB Type-C port. The phone carries a 6000mAh battery with a 33W fast charges in-box. The phone runs on POCO Launcher 2.0 based on MIUI 12 which is based on Android 10.
