Looking for a featured-packed smartphone right under your pocket money? Poco, the Xiaomi spin-off smartphone brand has officially launched its second phone of this year – the Poco M2 Pro.
Right under the budget segment, the Poco M2 Pro is power-packed. You get Snapdragon 720G SOC, quad-camera setup, 2+1 microSD slot, better haptics and a 5000mAh battery with a fast charger. So, what do you think?
Running through the price tags, the Poco M2 Pro will be available in three variants. Price starts at Rs 13,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant, while its 6GB RAM and 61GB storage option, is priced at Rs 14,999. There is also another 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model, which carries a price tag of Rs 16,999. For colour options, you get to choose from Two Shades of Black, Out of the Blue and Green and Greener.
The Poco M2 Pro will be available for purchase exclusively through Flipkart. The first sale for the smartphone will happen on July 14th, 2020 at noon.
Poco M2 Pro features and specifications
The Poco M2 Pro flaunts a 6.67-inch fullHD+ LCD Cinematic Screen display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels, 20:9 aspect ratio and 395 PPI. The screen along with front and rear camera housing are protected with triple Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Again the entire phone is water splash-proof protected by P2i coating.
Under the hood, the Poco M2 Pro gets powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor coupled with 750MHz Adreno 618 GPU. For RAM and storage, the phone packs up to 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage. As it got 2+1 microSD slot, you could have dual SIMs along with a dedicated microSD card (up to 512GB). There is also the Z-Shocker Haptics for better haptic vibration feedback.
Coming to the camera, the Poco M2 Pro boasts quad-camera setup at the rear. It includes 48MP primary camera with f/1.79 aperture, 5MP macro camera with f/2.4 aperture, 8MP Ultra-wide angle camera with 119-degree of field-of-view and a 2MP depth camera with f/2.4 aperture. Behind the camera, it features AI scene detection that can detect up to 25 categories of objects and up to 206 different scenes, all optimised for Indian condition. Also, you could shoot and save photos in RAM format. As for videos, the phone could shoot 4K videos at 30fps and Slow-motion videos at 1080p at 240fps.
In the front, the phone carries a 16-megapixel camera with features like AI portrait mode, AI detection of 10 different scenes, Night mode and Shirt Video mode.
Connectivity-wise, the Poco M2 Pro supports 4G LTE, 2.4G 802.11a/b/g/n/ac – 2×2 MIMO WiFi , Bluetooth 5.0 and USB Type-C. There is also a 3.5mm audio port for the good old wired headphones. The phone also uses India’s own Navigation System – NavIC. For security, the phone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Powering the Poco M2 Pro is a 5000mAh battery, that according to the company could last 11-hours of PUBG gameplay. With the included 33W fast charger, you could charge the phone from 0 to 50 per cent in 30 minutes.
