Increasing the choice for a sub-10K android smartphone in the Indian market, the Xiaomi spin-off smartphone brand Poco has launched its most-affordable phone – the POCO C3 in India. It’s the fourth smartphone from the new brand after the big success with Poco M2 Pro, Poco X2 and recently launched Poco X3.
On a quick look, the Poco C3 is featured packed with big HD+ display, bigger 5000-mAh battery, a 3-card slot with dedicated slot of memory cards, triple rear camera array and support for dual VoLTE and VoWiFi.
Poco C3 price in India starts at Rs 7499 for the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant. Whereas the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant of the smartphone gets a price tag of Rs 8999. Both these variants are available for purchase starting October 16 exclusively through Flipkart. The company is calling this pricing an introductory, so you may need to grab the phone quickly before the price hike.
Poco C3 specifications and features
Poco C3 features a plastic body with a two-tone pattern featuring anti-fingerprint texture. The phone is available in three colour options – Arctic Blue, Lime Green and Matte Black. The phone flaunts a 6.43-inch HD+ In-cell LCD (1600 x 720 pixels) display with an 20:9 aspect ratio. There is a waterdrop style notch cut out in the screen to house the front camera. The phone has P2i nano-coating helping it to withstand splash and small rain.
Under the hood, the Poco C3 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G35 processor coupled with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU and up to 4GB LPDDR4X RAM. The phone also packs up to 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded further up to 512GB using microSD card. The phone features HyperEngine Game Technology that can intelligently manage phone resources, enhance power efficiency, intelligently handle WiFi and LTE and offers a smoother performance during intense gameplay. The phone runs on MIUI 12 for Poco (minus all the ads), based on Android 10 OS.
Coming to the camera, the Poco C3 features a triple camera array at the rear. It combines a 13-megapixel primary camera featuring f/2.2 aperture, a 2-megapixel micro camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. It also features Phase Detection Auto Focus, HDR, AI Portrait Mode, Face Recognition and AI Scene Detection. In the front for selfies, the phone comes with a 5-megapixel camera featuring f/2.2 aperture.
As for connectivity, the POCO C3 comes with 4G LTE dual VoLTE and VoWiFi, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4 GHz), Bluetooth 5.0 and 3.5mm headphone audio jack. Finally, the smartphone is backed by a 5000mAh battery with 10W fast charging support.
