Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali the ‘Swadeshi’ consumer goods company is foraying to the telecom sector, thanks to the partnership with state-owned telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL). Patanjali has announced the launch of Swadeshi Samriddhi SIM cards along with a special BSNL Patanjali mobile tariff plan.
Initially, Patanjali’s Swadeshi Samriddhi SIM cards will be available only to its own employees and office bearers. But at a later date, the company is planning to launch the SIM card and the special plan to the general public.
Let’s first talk about the special BSNL Patanjali mobile tariff plan. These special mobile tariff plan which is priced at Rs 144 offers a truckload of benefits. Firstly, you would get unlimited voice calls to any network and to anywhere in India. National roaming is free except in Mumbai and Delhi telecom circles.
For data benefits, you would get 2GB of data usage. There is also daily 100 SMS benefits with the plan. The validity of the special mobile plan is 30 days, which seems to be the best when compared to other telcos 28 days (or one month) calculation. BSNL Patanjali mobile plan can also be availed for Rs 792 which comes with 180 days validity and Rs 1584 which offer full year or 365 days validity.

Now moving to the extra benefits you could get with the Swadeshi Samriddhi SIM card. Once the SIM is activated, you will be entitled to get medical and life insurance coverage. These include medical insurance worth Rs 2.5 lakh and life insurance worth Rs 5 lakh. Also, Swadeshi Samriddhi SIM card holders would get extra 10 percent discount on Patanjali products.
Patanjali employees and office bearers can get the Swadeshi Samriddhi SIM card from their respective offices. For activation visit nearest CSC or retailers along with your Patanjali employee ID and membership fee documents or receipt. Members of Patanjali organisation like Bharat Swabhiman Nyas, Patanjali Yog Samiti, Mahila Prakostha, Yuva Bharat, Patanjali Kisan Seva and Swadeshi Samrudhi cardholders can also get the SIM card and avail the special offer.
