If you’re a selfie addict and want to look good in every selfie you take, then this latest smartphone from Oppo is perfect for you. The Chinese mobile vendor has launched its flagship android smartphone Oppo F7 in India. The top highlight of the mobile is its iPhone X like top-notch cut and the artificial intelligence powered 25-megapixel selfie camera.
Before we get into the details specification, the Oppo F7 will come in two variants. The model with 64GB of storage and 4GB of RAM is priced at Rs 21,990. Whereas, the 128GB storage model with 6GB of RAM will retail for Rs 26,990. For colour choices, you get to choose from Moonlight Silver and Solar Red colours. There is also a special Diamond Black colour option which will be only available in the top model and across Oppo stores in the country. The normal models will be available for purchase exclusively via Flipkart and offline stores across India. First flash sale for the smartphone will kick off on 9th April 2018.
The top-notch cut
Taking all the design aspects of Apple iPhone X, the Oppo F7 have a full-screen design up front with a notch at the top. It also got an elegant, yet super glossy back covers that adds an extra beauty to the phone. The mobile flaunts a 6.23-inch FHD+ Super Full Screen LTPS IPS display with a screen resolution of 2280 by 1080 pixels and 19:9 aspect ratio.
Under the hood, the Oppo F7 is powered by a 2.0GHz MediaTek Helio P60 octa-core processor paired with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM. For storage, the mobile carries either 64GB or 128GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded using microSD card. The phone runs on ColoOS5.0 which is based on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo.
AI-powered Camera
Oppo smartphones are known for its exceptional camera. The Oppo F7 features a 25-megapixel AI-powered selfie camera with Sony IMX 576 sensor, f/2.0 aperture and AI Beauty Technology 2.0. It also features Sensor HDR technology, that uses the hardware sensors and can offer better dynamic range. With AI Beauty Technology 2.0, the camera app can enhance your selfies by tapping on 296 positioning spots.
The extra Vivid Mode can enhance the colour palette of the photos you take. Actually, the company claims its beautification database consists of more than 8 million solutions for face types. The phone also features AR Stickers like the one in Samsung Galaxy S9 series. Oppo’s smart AI Learning tool will learn from your photo customizations and then automatically do that for you.
Oppo F7 also comes with a 16-megapixel rear camera, which also has AI capabilities. The rear camera gets AI Scene Recognition that intelligently and accurately identifies 16 different scenes and objects in real-time as you shoot. It then enhances the photos with the perfect balance of brightness, exposure, colour and contrast. The rear camera also features f/1.8 aperture and LED flash support.
Connectivity and Extras
The Oppo F7 comes with 4G LTE network that supports every Indian telcos 4G band. You also get 4G VoLTE support for making HD voice and videos calls. Other connectivity options include 3G and 2G network options, Wi-Fi 2.4/5GHz 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.2. For extra security, the mobile comes with a fingerprint scanner placed on the back of the device. It also supports Face Unlock feature, where you can scan your face to quickly unlock the phone. Finally, the device gets it fuel from a 3400mAh battery.
