When we say a small update, it pretty much a small update. OnePlus latest flagship android smartphone, the OnePlus 7T Pro is now official. Packing the same curved beautiful glass design, but comes with minor hardware and software improvements. What’s in the minor update? the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor, a slightly bumped-up 4,085mAh battery, macro photography mode, and Android 10 based Oxygen OS 10. 

As you think its a slight hardware refresh, but OnePlus has bumped up the pricing of OnePlus 7T Pro. The phone now starts at a price tag of Rs 53,999, that’s for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. It seems, the company has got ridden of the cheaper 6GB+128GB storage variant of the phone.

There is also a McLaren Edition OnePlus 7T Pro which will cost Rs 58,999. This special edition phone will have 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. You also get a custom-designed phone case made with composite fabric material Alcantara. It will also include custom-crafted icons and animations in Oxygen OS.

OnePlus 7T Pro will go on sale starting 12th October 12 PM (noon) exclusively at Amazon India, OnePlus online store and OnePlus offline stores across India. Whereas, the McLaren Edition of the phone will be up for purchase from 5th November 2019. You could also prebook the phone on 11th October via OnePlus exclusive store across India.

A quick rundown on OnePlus 7T Pro

What we have here is a slim and sleek design, with a glass sandwiched from the front and the back. OnePlus 7T Pro flaunts a 6.67-inches Quad HD+ (3120 by 1440 pixels) Fluid AMOLED display that’s entirely notch-free and curved from all sides. It features a 90 Hz refresh rate which offers buttery smooth motion while you watch videos or while playing games. It has a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a pixel density of 516ppi.

OnePlus 7T Pro launched in India

Under the hood, the OnePlus 7T Pro packs the upgraded Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor coupled with Qualcomm AI Engine and Adreno 640 GPU. For RAM and storage combination you could choose from 8GB RAM/256GB storage and 12GB RAM/256GB storage. Most of the other specifications are exactly same as few months old OnePlus 7 Pro.

Triple Camera with few changes

As for the camera, you get a three rear camera unit and a single pop-up camera unit at the front in OnePlus 7T Pro. The rear cameras include a primary camera with 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor featuring f/1.6 aperture, OIS and EIS. The second camera unit an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture and also features OIS. It’s also capable of 3x optical zoom. Finally, there is also a 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with a 117-degree field of vies and features f/2.2 aperture. Accompanying this triple camera unit is the dual-LED flash and also support Multi Autofocus (PDAF+LAF+CAF).

What’s changed from OnePlus 7 Pro to OnePlus 7T Pro is a new motor in the wide-angle camera module that allows super macro mode. One that’s in the OnePlus 7T too.

The phone also features a pop-up selfie camera featuring 16-megapixel Sony IMX471 sensor. It comes with an f/2.0 aperture and EIS.

Other specifications

As for connectivity options, the OnePlus 7T Pro supports dual SIM with 4G LTE, VoLTE, 3G and 2G network options. Other connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, 2.4G/5G, Bluetooth 5.0 with support for aptX/aptX HD/LDAC/AAC, NFC and USB Type-C (v3.1 Gen 1). Three is an in-display optical fingerprint sensor for additional security. For audiophiles, there the dual stereo speakers with noise cancellation support and Dolby Atmos. 

Finally, the OnePlus 7T Pro packs a slightly bigger 4085 mAh (non-removable) battery with support for improved Warp Charge 30T Fast Charging.
