For the past few weeks, the OnePlus has been teasing about the 5T on various tweets and insta pics. However, the specs and snaps of the phone got leaked all over the internet.

Display

Let’s start with the display, it has a gorgeous 6.01-inch Full Optic AMOLED Display with 18:9 aspect ratio. Even with the bigger display, they have managed to keep the form factor similar to that of OnePlus 5, with an 80.5% screen to body ratio. It is designed to give an immersive viewing experience with a seamless and almost bezel-less design. OnePlus did this by moving their famously speedy ceramic fingerprint sensor, which unlocks in just 0.2 seconds to the back of the device. The built-in software algorithm controls the Sunlight Display to adapt to varying ambient lightings. The screen contrast also adjusts according to the app you are using, viz using the gallery, taking photo, recording video and gaming. Lastly, it has got the 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection to shield it from all those sharp edges and unexpected falls.

Camera

Coming to the Camera, the OnePlus 5T also features a dual rear camera setup but with one major difference. They have swapped the telephoto lens with a secondary camera having a larger f/1.7 aperture for enhanced low light photography. The rear camera thus features, a 16MP main camera with Sony IMX sensor having f/1.7 and a 20MP secondary camera with Sony IMX sensor having f1.7. The rear camera is also equipped with Dual LED flash and EIS for videography. It is capable of shooting 4K videos at 30fps and slow-mo 720p videos at 120fps.

OnePlus 5T Specs Leaked – Launch And Sale Date Revealed

Now the selfie camera is equipped with a 16MP Sony IMX sensor having f2.0 and screen flash to provide more light. It can record 1080p videos at 30fps and supports time lapse. Talking about the camera software, we still have the Pro Mode with which you can tweak the photos. The Camera UI is redesigned to allow one-handed access to all settings. You can also set autofocus and quick capture by a double tap of the power button. Lastly, the well known Bokeh effect is possible with the rear dual camera setup giving razor-sharp images, reduced noise and improved low light performance.

Basic Specs

Let’s now look at the device closely, it measures 156.1 X 75 X 7.3mm and weighs about 162g. Made of anodized aluminium the device comes in two colour choices, possible Midnight Black and Slate Grey. The device runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat based Oxygen OS and is powered by octa-core Snapdragon 835 running at 2.45GHz and Adreno 540 GPU at 710MHz. For connectivity, OnePlus 5T has LTE, GSM , WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and USB2.0 Type-C. The audio section has bottom firing speakers with 3 noise cancelling microphone supporting Dirac HD sound. A notable change is the USB Audio support but still keeping the legacy 3.5mm audio jack. The physical buttons including volume rockers, power button and alert slider are left as is. For juicing all this, the OP 5T comes with a 3,300 mAh non-removable battery supporting Dash charge at 5V 4A.
