After the recent launch of nubia N2 and selfie focused nubia M2 Lite the Chinese mobile vendor nubia has launched the nubia M2 android smartphone in India. The mobile pack’s dual rear camera setup, 16MP front selfie camera, Snapdragon SoC with 4GB of RAM, expandable storage and dual SIM with 4G LTE.
The nubia M2 is priced at Rs 22,999 and will be available exclusively on Amazon India. If you are Amazon Prime member then you get a chance to buy the mobile on 10th July 2017 during the Prime Day Sale. For colour choices, you get to choose from Champagne Gold and Black Gold colour variants.
Design and Performance
Featuring a premium look and feel, nubia M2 have a metal unibody design with the dual-diamond cut metal frame. The device is only 7.0mm thick and weighs around 168g. The mobile flaunts a 5.5-inch AMOLED full HD 1920×1080 display covered in rounded 2.5D glass and protected with Corning Gorilla Glass. Under the hood, the mobile is powered by a 2.0GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 MSM8953 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and Adreno 506 GPU. To store all your media content the mobile carries 64GB of internal storage. You can further expand the storage up to 200GB using microSD card.
One of the main highlights of nubia M2 is the dual 13-megapixel Sony CMOS camera at back. This includes one 13-megapixel Monochrome lens and second 13-megapixel RGB colour capturing lens. Both cameras feature f/2.2 aperture, dual ISP image engine, 0.1-second Hybrid focus, PDAF and protected with sapphire glass on top. Using this dual camera you can shoot those DSLR-like bokeh photos and create a beautifully blurred background effect. On the front for selfie lovers, the nubia M2 carries a 16-megapixel front selfie camera. It features ISOCELL CMOS, 5P lens, f2.0 Aperture and 80-degree wide angle.
Connectivity and Features
As for connectivity, the nubia M2 comes with dual-SIM and dual-standby (4G+4G) option. The device supports high-speed 4G LTE networks that work with every telco’s 4G bands in India. Other connectivity option includes 3G and 2G network support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and Bluetooth 4.1. The whole device runs on a bit old Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with nubia UI 4.0 skin over the top. For added security, the mobile comes with a fingerprint scanner embedded on to front home button. For audiophiles out there, the mobile carries a DTS HEADPHONE:X. The speaker features advanced SmartPA technology with the maximum transient power of 5.7W and supports Dolby Surround DTS 7.1.
To fuel the device you get a 3630mAh lithium-ion polymer battery which comes with NeoPower 2.5 technology. With this, you can extend the life of your battery with 118 new, optimised power-saving features.
