HMD Global the mobile vendor who has the exclusive Nokia brand licensing rights in mobile phones has launched the all new Nokia 3. What’s packed in it? on a quick glance the mobile features polycarbonate body, HD display, 8-megapixel wide aperture cameras on front and back, and high-speed 4G LTE with VoLTE support.
The Nokia 3 will retail for a price tag just below the 10K mark at EUR 139 or approximately Rs 9800. The mobile will be available in India and other parts of the world by Q2 2017. The mobile will come in four colour option. This includes the Silver White, Matte Black, Tempered Blue, and Copper White colours.
Design and Power
Let’s dig into the design and hardware part of the budget Nokia smartphone. The Nokia 3 got a polycarbonate body with an aluminium frame offering a premium touch and feel. The mobile flaunts 5-inch IPS LCD HD 1280 x 720 display with an aspect ratio of 16:9. The screen is protected with 2.5D sculpted Corning Gorilla Glass and comes polarised for better outdoor visibility. There is a small bump on the back to accommodate the camera module.
Under the hood, the Nokia 3 is powered by a 1.3Ghz Quad-core MediaTek MTK 6737 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. For storing all your media contents the mobile carries 16GB of internal storage. You can further expand the storage up to 128GB using microSD card. The mobile runs on the latest Android Nougat operating system with no skin over the top. It’s clean, clutter-free and Nokia guarantees regular updates for it.
Camera and Connectivity
Whether you’re a selfie addict or love taking pictures of nature, the Nokia 3 carries the same 8-megapixel autofocus camera on front and back. Both cameras feature the same 1.12um and f/2 aperture. On the back, you get a LED flash support, whereas on the front you have the display flash. For including more friend in your selfie the front camera got a field of view (FOV) of 84 degrees.
As for connectivity, the Nokia 3 will be available in both single SIM and dual SIM variants. The mobile comes with 4G LTE network that will support all Indian 4G bands. It also carries VoLTE support for making HD voice and video calls. Other connectivity options include 3G and 2G network, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, Micro USB (USB 2.0), USB OTG and NFC. To power things up the mobile will come packed with 2650 mAh battery.
