After Bing publishing 2013?s top search trends for India, the social media giant Facebook has come up with its own ‘2013 Year in Review‘ where they are reveling the people, moments and places that were most talk about in India on 2013.
Facebook’s top global trends of 2013 are categorized to top life events, top check-ins around the world and most talked about topics. To come with this results Facebook looked at which life events and places generated the most posts and check-ins in 2013, and then used the data to create global and country-level rankings. For most talked about topic category Facebook measured how many posts in 2013 mentioned a specific topic and then ranked those topics based on the overall number of mentions to create each list.
Top life events happening on Facebook during 2013 include getting into a relation, got engaged or got married, traveling, moving, ended a relationship, first met a friend, have a baby, got a car, were talked about a lot during 2013. In India The Golden Temple in Amritsar were people mostly checked-in during 2013, followed by Connaught Place in New Delhi, Prasads IMAX in Hyderabad, Marine Drive in Mumbai and the Taj Mahal in Agra.
On Indian Facebook Narendra Modi, Sachin Tendulkar and RBI’s Raghuram Rajan were mostly talked about people during 2013, while Apples iPhone 5s and ISRO’s Mangalyaan mission bring in hot conversation among Indian Facebook users.
