Providing the best customer service to its customers, India’s top telecom operator Bharti Airtel‘s innovative ‘my airtel’ app bags the best application honors at the prestigious GSMAs Global Mobile Awards 2013 in Barcelona. Airtel win the award under the ‘Best Application using Network APIs’ category.
We have earlier written about Myairtel app, one of its kind innovative app developed in partnership with IBM which uses Airtel’s robust Network API backbone and well designed user interface. The app provides Airtel customers across various services (prepaid/postpaid mobile, fixed line, broadband, dth etc) to check their outstanding bills, recharge their accounts, make payment, activate deactivate any service, activate deactivate VAS and raise requests-complaints. Further, using this, Airtel digital TV customers can also order movies and games, without any assistance from the customer care.
At the award ceremony held at Mobile World Congress 2013 in Barcelona, Ruben Heerdink, VP Operations and co-founder at Distimo presented the award to Sukesh Jain, Business Head – Value Added Services and Content, Bharti Airtel limited.
