Within a month of launching Moto g5 and Moto g5 Plus at MWC 2017 in Barcelona and within weeks of launching Moto g5 Plus in India, Motorola (Lenovo) has today brought the smaller variant in the series – Moto g5 in India. On a quick glance, the mobile feature full HD display, Snapdragon SoC, 3GB of RAM, Android Nougat, Water repellent coating and 4G with VoLTE support. It also packs the Google Assistant which Google released to all smartphones running Marshmallow and above.

As for pricing, the Moto g5 comes with a price tag of Rs 11,999. Unlike the big brother, Moto g5 will be exclusive to Amazon India and sales start 4th April 2017 midnight. Design and Performance

Coming back to the specifications, the fifth-generation Moto g5 got a premium metal design made of high-grade aluminium. The mobile flaunts a 5-inch full HD 1080p LCD display with a pixel density of 44 1ppi. Under the hood, the mobile is powered by a 1.4GHz Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. For storing all your music, movies and other data, the mobile comes with 16GB of inbuilt storage. You can further expand the storage up to 128GB using microSD card.

Camera and connectivity

On the photography side, the Moto g5 packs a 13-megapixel camera. It features f/2.0 aperture, Phase detects autofocus (PDAF) and LED flash support. On the front for selfie addicts, the mobile comes with a 5-megapixel. It features a wide-angle lens, f/2.2 aperture and comes with display flash support.

As for connectivity, the Moto g5 supports 4G LTE that works with every Indian telcos 4G band. The mobile also supports VoLTE for making HD voice and video calls. Other connectivity options include 3G and 2G networks, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, and micro USB options. For extra security, the mobile packs a fingerprint scanner which is embedded in the front home button. The mobile runs on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat OS with almost stock UI.
