There is a new feature packed smartphone for the budget-minded users. Lenovo-owned Motorola unveiled the next-generation android smartphones under its Moto E family – the Moto e4 and Moto e4 Plus. Well, the e4 represents the 4th-generation of Moto E smartphones. Though both are budget-friendly mobiles, they pack some powerful hardware like Snapdragon chipset, 2 GB of RAM, expandable storage, up to a 13-megapixel camera, 4G with VoLTE support and even massive battery power of 5000 mAh.
Moto e4 Features
Budget-friendly is not an excuse for going cheap, that’s why Moto e4 comes with a smooth metal finish. It almost resembles the design of recently launched Moto G5 or even the Moto Z2, but luckily without the back camera bump. On the front, you have 5-inch HD 1280×720 display with 2.5D curved glass on top. Below the screen, you have the home button which also houses the fingerprint scanner. It even has the water-repellent nano-coating that saves you phone from accidentally water splashes and rain.
Coming to the internal parts, the Moto e4 is powered either by a 1.4 GHz Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 427 processor, depending upon the market the phone launches. However, the processor is coupled with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage.
As for photography, the Moto e4 got an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera. It features f/2.2 aperture, 71-degree lens and single LED flash support. On front for selfie lovers, the mobile comes with a 5-megapixel camera with same f/2.2 aperture and 74-degree lens. In addition, you also get a front single LED flash support, making your selfies glow and extra beautiful. Connectivity-wise, the mobile support 4G LTE that works with every Indian telcos 4G band. The mobile also supports VoLTE for making HD voice and video calls. Other connectivity options include 3G and 2G networks, WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.1 LE. Finally the mobile packs a 2800 mAh removable battery at back.

Moto e4 Plus Features
Now to the much feature packed Moto e4 Plus, which has the same smooth metal finish. The mobile flaunts a 5.5-inch HD 1280×720 display with 2.5D curved glass on top. It also comes with water-repellent nano-coating that saves you phone from accidentally water splashes and rain. For colour choices, you get to choose from Iron Gray and Fine Gold colours.
Under the hood, the Moto e4 Plus is powered by a Quad-core 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 427 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. For storing all your media files the mobile carries either 16GB or 32GB of internal storage. You can further expand the storage with the help of microSD card.
There is an upgrade over the camera as Moto e4 Plus comes with a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera. If features f/2.0 aperture, 78-degress lens and Single LED flash support. For selfie addicts, the mobile carries a 5-megapixel fixed focus camera. It features f/2.2 aperture, 74-degree lens and single LED flash support. As for connectivity, the mobile support 4G LTE along with VoLTE. Other connectivity options include 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, and Bluetooth 4.1 LE. The mobile runs on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS with almost stock UI. Another big plus point for the mobile is the massive 5000 mAh removable battery that company claims to offer up to 2 days of usage on a single charge.

Both Moto e4 and Moto e4 plus have only been launched in US. As for pricing, the Moto e4 is priced at $129.99, that’s approximately Rs 8,381. Whereas the Moto e4 Plus gets a price tag of $179.99 or approximately Rs 11,606. Motorola/Lenovo is expected to launch both mobiles in India in the coming week.
