As Indian telecom sector is moving towards the super high-speed 4G LTE connectivity, Microsoft has brought its affordable 4G enabled Windows Phone smartphone – Lumia 638 to India. As for the features, Lumia 638 comes with 4G connectivity, quad-core processor, 4.5 display, 5 megapixel camera and runs on Windows Phone 8.1 operating system. Microsoft has put an affordable price tag of Rs 8,299 and selling exclusively through Amazon India.
Lumia 638 Windows Phone spots a 4.5 inch FWVGA display with a screen resolution of 854 x 480 pixels and a pixel density of 221 ppi. The device is powered by 1.2GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor coupled with 1GB RAM that offers flawless multitasking experience. On the back the smartphone got a 5 megapixel camera with auto focus, but lacks a front-facing camera. On the storage side the smartphone comes with 8GB of internal storage that can be easily expanded up to 128GB using microSD card. On the connectivity side the Windows phone got a the ultra high-speed 4G LTE along with 3G and 2G connectivity. It also got WiFi, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0 and USB 2.0 connectivity options.
On the software front the Windows Phone runs on the latest Windows Phone 8.1 operating system with Lumia Cyan update. It comes with the full-fledged Microsoft Office pack along with 15GB cloud storage on OneDrive.

As an introductory offer, Microsoft has partnered with Airtel, currently India’s only 4G network provider to offer free 5GB of 4G Data per month for a period of two months. The offer is only applicable to Airtel postpaid customers in Bengaluru.
