We can say it’s the first Android device from the Windows Phone maker Microsoft, after their takeover on Nokia. Microsoft Mobiles has unveiled the second-generation of Nokia X Android smartphones – the Nokia X2 with upgraded hardware and enhanced performance.
Nokia X2 design layout remains same as the original Nokia X but now got a translucent outer layer making it more shiny. Another design change is the addition of a home button along side with the back button, making the navigation more easy.
Nokia X2 features a 4.3-inch ClearBlack WVGA display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and pixel density of 217 pip. It’s powered by 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor coupled with 1GB RAM, thus doubling its performance compared to first generation Nokia X. It got 4GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB using microSD card and also include free 7 GB cloud storage. On the back of the device it got a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash support. It also got a VGA front facing camera for Skype video calling.
On the connectivity side the smartphone got dual-SIM capability with support for 3G, 2G, WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0. On the software side it runs on a highly customised Android operating system called Nokia X software platform with Microsoft services. The device comes pre-loaded with several Nokia apps like the popular swipe-based notifications and multitasker – Fastlane that allows fast access to the people, apps and information that are most important to user.
