It’s budget friendly, packs a big battery, has lots of features and exclusive to Flipkart. The Indian mobile vendor Micromax has come up with its new Evok series of smartphones and the first device from the family is the Micromax Evok Power. On a quick look, the mobile features rigid build, HD display, quad-core processor, fingerprint scanner and 4G LTE with support for VoLTE.
First, going through the pricing, the Micromax Evok Power comes with a price tag of Rs 6,999. The mobile will be available exclusively and only through Flipkart.
Design and Performance
The Micromax Evok Power features a rigid build quality with rubberized side strips offering extra protection from drops. On the front, mobile flaunts a 5-inch HD IPS 1280 x 720 display covered in 2.5D Glass and protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
Under the hood, the Evok Power is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. The phone also carries ARM Mali-T720 MP1 450 MHz GPU offering smooth gaming and multitasking performance. To store all your media content the mobile comes packed with 16 GB of internal storage. You can further expand the storage up to 32GB using microSD card. Thanks to the Hybrid Slot, which allows you to either have dual SIM or one SIM with one microSD card.
Photography and Connectivity
Coming to photography, the Micromax Evok Power boasts an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera. It also features LED flash support for taking brighter pictures. In front for selfie addicts, the mobile carries a 5-megapixel fixed focus camera.
For connectivity, the Micromax Evok Power supports 4G LTE network that works with every Indian telcos 4G band. In addition, the mobile also supports VoLTE, which allows you to make HD voice and video calls. Other connectivity options include 3G and 2G network support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth v4.0. The phone runs on a bit old Android v6.0 Marshmallow OS with minimal skin over the top.
For extra security, the mobile comes with a fingerprint scanner placed at back, below the camera module. The Evok Power carries a 4000 mAh Li-ion Polymer battery that company claims to offer over 30 hours of talk time.
