If you are looking for a phablet-size display for a mobile that also packs powerful hardware, 4G LTE and priced affordably, then Micromax’s newest smartphone under Canvas series would interest you. The Indian mobile vendor has launched Micromax Canvas Mega 2 Plus Q426+ smartphone. On a quick glance, the mobile features big 6-inch display, quad-core processor, 8-megapixel camera and 4G LTE with VoLTE support.
The Micromax Canvas Mega 2 Plus comes with a price tag of Rs 7,499. The mobile will be available with online and offline mobile retailers across India. It also packs a free Reliance Jio SIM which you can activate to avail Jio Happy New Year offer or join the Jio Prime membership.
Display and performance
The Micromax Canvas Mega 2 Plus flaunts a big 6-inch qHD 960 x 540 display. But it’s actually a very low resolution for such a big screen. Under the hood, the mobile is powered by an unknown 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. For storage, the mobile packs 16GB of internal storage. The storage can be further upgraded up to 128GB using microSD card.

Camera and connectivity
For photography, the Micromax Canvas Mega 2 Plus comes with an 8-megapixel autofocus camera on the back. It also supports LED flash for taking brighter shots at dark. On the front, the mobile carries a 5-megapixel camera. On connectivity, the mobile has the dual-SIM capability with support for high-speed 4G LTE network. It also supports VoLTE which allows you to make HD voice and video calls. Other connectivity options include 3G and 2G networks, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, and USB 2.0.
As for sensors, the Canvas Mega 2 Plus got gravity, proximity and ambient light sensors. The mobile runs on a bit old Android Marshmallow operating system. To fuel the whole device, the mobile carries a 3000 mAh battery.
