Ever wanted to scribble or draw an instant art over your mobile screen? Well, LG India has come up with its third-generation smartphone under Stylus series. The company has introduced the LG Stylus 3 (M400DK) android smartphone in India. The main selling point of the mobile is its Stylus pen along with Pen Pop 2.0. In addition, the mobile also features HD display, an octa-core processor, 13-megapixel camera and 4G LTE with VoLTE support.
The LG Stylus 3 is priced at Rs 18,500 and currently only listed on LG India’s official website. The mobile will also be available through LG’s authorised retails across India. Probably the mobile will also be available across all major e-commerce stores in the coming week.
Design and Performance
Keeping its design language same as its predecessor, the LG Stylus 3 got a 7.4mm think sleek body with a brushed metal rear panel. It has a small gap in the side to hold the integrated pen in place. The fingerprint scanner is now placed at back below the camera and flash module.
The LG Stylus 3 flaunts a 5.7-inch In-cell HD 720p display. Under the hood, the mobile is powered by a 1.5Ghz Octa Core processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and Mali-T860MP2 GPU. To store all your media content the mobile carries 16GB of inbuilt storage. You can further expand the storage up to 2TB via microSD card.
Stylus with Pen Pop 2.0
One of the main highlighted features of LG Stylus 3 is its Stylus pen with Pen Pop 2.0. In the instant your take the pen out, a quick menu with shortcuts pops up on the screen. Some options that pops up include Pop memo, Capture +, Pop Scanner, Quick Memo, and thumbnail previews of your recent notes. The pen now has improved 1.8mm precision tip that allows you to take notes, draw, select content on the screen etc.
With ‘Screen-Off Memo’ you can write on the screen even when the display is off. If you got a habit of losing the pen then with Pen Keeper then the device will alerts you with a pop-up message.
Photography and Connectivity
For photography, the LG Stylus 3 comes with a 13-megapixel CMOS autofocus camera on the back. It features 2.54/7.77cm sensor and an ultra-bright f/2.2 aperture lens. On the front for selfie addicts, the mobile packs an 8-megapixel camera on the front.
As for connectivity, the LG Stylus 3 supports high-speed 4G LTE networks that work with every telco’s 4G bands in India. In addition, it also supports VoLTE for HD voice and video calling. Other connectivity option includes 3G and 2G network support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and Bluetooth 4.1. The mobile runs on Android Nougat 7.0 out-of-the-box. To fuel the whole device, it carries a 3200mAh mAh Li-Ion battery which is luckily removable.
