It’s time to mod it, push it, theme it, style it and truly make it yours?. Lenovo, backed ZUK brand has launched android based Cyanogen OS powered Lenovo ZUK Z1 smartphone in India.

Lenovo ZUK Z1 packs some of the finest hardware and powered by ultra customizable developer friendly Cyanogen OS. The smartphone is priced at Rs 13,499 and will be available exclusively on Amazon India with first flash sale happening on 19 the May 2016.

Coming to the phone specification, one of the key features of Lenovo ZUK Z1 is the android based Cyanogen operating system that offers a superior level of customizability and thousands of mods to try out. Currently, ZUK Z1 runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based Cyanogen OS 12.1 which is expected to be updated to latest Android marshmallow based Cyanogen OS 13.

Making it more developer friendly, ZUK allow its users to root the smartphone, install custom ROMs or do anything and it won’t void the warranty.

Design wise Lenovo ZUK Z1 got a metal finish with smooth curved edges and arched back offering more grip to hold in one hand. Still the smartphones weigh just 175gm in hands.

Lenovo ZUK Z1 flaunts a 5.5 inch full HD IPS display with a contrast ratio of 1500:1 and 450 nits brightness that offers sharp images in its 401 ppi screen. Under the hood, the smartphone has a 2.5 GHz Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 578MHz Adreno 330 3D GPU,offering seamless multitasking and gaming experience.

Lenovo ZUK Z1 comes with a mega 64GB internal storage option and doesn’t (you won’t need) have any expandable storage option. On the photography side, the Lenovo ZUK Z1 got a 13-megapixel rear camera with Sony Exmor RS stack sensor with a pixel size of 1.12um and double LED flashlight. On the front for selfie lovers, the mobile got an 8-megapixel camera.

For connectivity, the dual-SIM Lenovo ZUK Z1 got 4G LTE that supports all Indian 4G bands along with 3G, 2G network options, WiFi, Bluetooth and USB Type C 3.0 connectivity options. For extra security, the smartphone boast a fingerprint scanner on the front home button.

Another interesting feature Lenovo introduced with ZUK Z1 is the intelligent cut-off between charger and battery allowing one to run directly from the charger when the battery is fully charged. This company claims to increase battery life to a greater extended.
