Reliance Jio is digitally colouring the 69th Republic day of India by making data more and more affordable for everyone. For the massive 50 Crore feature phone users of India, the telco want to mark this Republic day as an acceleration towards achieving Digital Freedom. Jio has kickstarted this race with the launch of effective zero cost JioPhone during last year. Now to give it a boost, they are announcing a new plan exclusive for JioPhone users, which will drop the jaw of other telecom operators in India.
Digital Disempowerment And Unfairness
According to Jio, the key aspects to disempower the digital unfairness is Connectivity, Data Affordability and Device Affordability. Regarding connectivity, they are already half-way through and is expecting a 99 percent 4G coverage by the end of 2018. Coming to Data Affordability, Jio has made the feature phone users jealous of the voice/data freedom of smartphone users.
However, things are different for JioPhone feature phone users who can enjoy exclusive data and voice tariffs from Jio. The question of Device Affordability is already answered by Reliance Jio with their effectively Free JioPhone.
JioPhone Exclusive Republic Day Offer
Making JioPhone more attractive for novice users, Reliance Jio has announced a special Rs 49 mobile tariff plan. In this plan, you will get free unlimited voice calls to any network and anywhere India. The voice calls are free even on national roaming. As for data benefits, you will get unlimited data usage but capped at 1GB high-speed. After you hit the FUP limit, speed will be reduced to 64 Kbps for rest of the month. The special JioPhone plan will come with a validity of 28 days.

If you are looking for more data, Jio has already had its Rs 153 JioPhone mobile plan. The telco has recently revised this plan to added 1GB of data per day along with unlimited voice calls. The telco has also introduced affordable data add-ons at Rs 11, Rs 21, Rs 51 and Rs 101 if you need more data. This new Rs 49 JioPhone plan will be available from 26th January 2018 for both existing and new subscribers.
