After months of waiting, the all-IP network provider Reliance Jio has finally launched its Jio4GVoice app for Apple iPhones. If you are using an older Apple device that only supports 4G data or doesn’t have VoLTE then you can download the app to make it VoLTE ready. This app allows you to make HD voice and video calls to any network.
The Jio4GVoice app currently supports Apple iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone SE, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, and certain Apple iPad and iPod touch models. These models either come with 4G data only mode or Apple has not provided an update for VoLTE. Your Apple device should also need run at least iOS 8.0 or later. If you have the latest Apple devices like iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s plus then you won’t need the app, as it already supports VoLTE for voice calls.
In addition to making voice calls, the Jio4GVoice app is also a full-fledged messaging app. You can use it to send and receive SMS, chats, videos, images and even allow location-sharing. You can also share files in any format over the chat and group chat. Other features include audio conferencing with up to six participants and video conferencing with up to four participants. There is also a unique feature called ‘Urgent Call’ that intimate the urgency of your call on the receiver’s screen.
How to use Jio4GVoice app for Apple iPhone & iPad
- Getting started with Jio4GVoice app is simple, you can download the app directly from Apple iTunes.
- You need an iPhone with 4G support and Reliance Jio SIM activated.
- Once downloaded you just need to sign with your Jio account or sign in directly with the Jio SIM.
- Once configured, the phone number of your Jio SIM will become the phone number of the app.
- You can start making HD voice and video calls directly from the Jio4GVoice app dialer.
One more thing, the Jio4GVoice app seems to be in a limited rrollout The app is currently available for Jio subscribers in Kolkata, Delhi, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamilnadu, Maharashtra, Mumbai and Karnataka telecom circles. We except the telecom operator to make this app available for rest of Indian in the coming weeks.
