After luring the entire Prepaid mobile sector with its cut-throat plans, India’s largest telecom operator Reliance Jio is now eyeing on the lucrative postpaid customer base in India. The telco has announced Jio PostPaid Plus plan, a much thoughtful postpaid service that combines best of Jio, which includes “superior services across connectivity, entertainment and experience.”
Jio PostPaid Plus plan starts at Rs 399 making it one of the most affordable postpaid plan in the country. In each of the PostPaid Plus plans Jio adds everything you always demanded offer. It includes premium access to OTT apps or streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Disney+ Hotstar. For international travellers among you, the service comes with unlimited international roaming and in-flight connectivity option. Then we have all the basic covered including unlimited voice calling, Wi-Fi Calling, Data Rollover plan and Family plans.
What does Jio PostPaid Plus offer to customers?
Entertainment Plus: You get premium access to Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Disney+ Hotstar. Along with it, you also have full access to Jio TV app, Jio Cinema, Jio Saavn and free caller tuner option. Do note that, Jio is offering Netflix mobile-only plan with its postpaid plans.
International Plus: Jio PostPaid Plus offers frequent International travellers in-flight connectivity option (which is also first among an Indian carrier). You also get free international’s roaming in the USA and UAE. With WiFi calling option, you can call any Indian numbers at Rs 1, while on international roaming. Then for normal voice calls, the ISD rates start at just 50 paise per minute.
Feature Plus: Jio PostPaid Plus comes with the family plan where you can add up to 3-5 family members at Rs 250 per connection. In all the postpaid plans the telco allows data rollover up to 500 GB, thus you could save any extra unused data for the next month. This connection also comes with WiFi calling option in India and abroad, thus no tension of getting a network coverage to make calls.
Experience Plus: Additionally, current Jio Postpaid customer who is are under the Rs 199 postpaid plan can migrate to the new plan and continue with their existing credit limit. They will not have to change their mobile number, even though a new SIM will be provided. Thanks to MNP there won’t be any downtime while migrating. Customers will get free home delivery and activation of the Jio Postpaid Plus SIM. Finally, PostPaid Plus customers will have access to a premium call centre service.
Jio PostPaid Plus Plans
Thrilled to join Jio PostPaid Plus, then the telco is offering the service in five distinct plans – Rs 399, Rs 599, Rs 799, Rs 999 and Rs 1499. In these plans, you will be getting unlimited voice calls to any Indian phones and premium access to OTT apps including Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney+ Hotstar VIP Subscription.
Starting with Rs 399 Jio PostPaid Plus plan, it offers users 75GB of monthly data and 200GB of data rollover option every month. The Rs 599 Jio PostPaid Plus plan packs 100GB of monthly data with the same 200GB of data rollover option but comes with one additional SIM card with Family Plan. Similarly, the Rs 799 Jio PostPaid Plus plan comes with 150GB of monthly data with 200GB of data rollover option and packs two additional SIM card with Family Plan.
Next up, Rs 999 Jio PostPaid Plus plan which offers users with 200GB of monthly data, have 500GB of data rollover option and carries 3 additional SIM cards with Family Plan. Finally, the Rs 1499 Jio PostPaid Plus plan comes with 300GB of monthly data, 500GB of data rollover option and comes with unlimited data and voice calling to India from USA and UAE.

How to join or migrate to Jio PostPaid Plus
Jio PostPaid Plus plans will be available to the general public starting September 24, 2020. You can migrate your existing prepaid or postpaid mobile number (from any Indian telecom network) through MNP. It will available through Jio.com and via Jio Stores across the country.
- Existing Postpaid customers of Reliance Jio and other networks can initiate the migration by sending “HI” to 8850188501 on WhatsApp. The best part here is that you can continue with your existing credit limit.
- To get the Jio PostPaid Plus SIM card freely delivered to your home, you need to register at Jio.com/postpaid or call 1800 88 99 88 99 or you could collect the SIM card directly from a nearby Jio Store. If you are opting for a Family Plan, then all the SIM cards will be delivered to your home.
- You can easily link your family members or friends, to the Family Plan through MyJio app.
Prepaid customers who want to join Jio PostPaid Plus can also follow the same above steps. You could also unlock the credit limit with a 100 per cent refundable deposit.
