If you are nonprofit organization in India and using or having an idea on how to use technology to improve people’s lives then participate in the Google Impact Challenge India. At the end of the challenge, Google will award four nonprofit organizations with Rs 3 crore each as Global Impact Award and will provide full technical assistance to bring their projects to life. That’s around Rs 12 crore prize money from Google to nonprofits having ideas to use technology to make world better.
Nonprofit organization participating in this challenge need to come up with idea on how to use technology and innovative approaches to tackle problems in India and around the world. Registration has already began at Google Impact Challenge website (g.co/indiachallenge) and can apply online until September 5, 2013.
Once the idea has been submitted, Googlers from India, and around the world, will review each applications and announce the top ten best projects by October 21,2013. The final event will take place at Delhi on 31st October 2013, where each finalist team will pitch its idea to an esteemed panel of judges including Nikesh Arora (Senior Vice President and Chief Business Officer), Ram Shriram (Board member of Google), Jacquelline Fuller (Director of Google Giving), Anu Aga (Social Worker) and Jayant Sinha (MD of Omidyar Network India Advisors). Three awards will be announced by judges and the fourth awardee will be chosen based on public online votes.
