After the earlier partnership with Opera to offer its pan India prepaid and postpaid customers with Idea Web Pass service, India’s third largest telecom operator Idea Cellular is now offering 200,000 hours of free internet for Opera Mini users on its network.
Aiming on the first time internet users, Idea Cellular in partnership with Opera will be offering 200,000 hours of free internet access to its pan India users, over the next 20 days through the web pass service on Opera Mini.
To use the free internet, users first need to download Opera Mini for their mobile (download free by going to m.opera.com), then simply have to go to the Speed Dial page in Opera Mini and click on ‘Idea Web Pass’. Choose the ‘Free Internet Trial Pass (3 MB)’ from the list of web passes and enjoy one hour of free internet or upto 3 MB, during that day. (seriously 3MB of data usage). The offer is limited to the first 10,000 users per day and only available for the next 20 days.
In addition to the free web pass, Idea Cellular customers can also purchase from a range of user-centric packages to suit their internet access needs. Which include daily internet pass for Rs 8, weekly Facebook pass for Rs 7 and more.
Other telecom operator including the top two, Airtel and Vodafone India has also started offering its customers with Opera web pass. Through which customers can pay to browse Internet, Facebook or Twitter for a day or an hour, rather than subscribing to limited data usage based plans and having to keep track of the MBs they have consumed.
