Taking its company branded smartphone offering to 19, India’s third largest telecom operator Idea Cellular has launched two new Android based smartphones for its pan India customers – Ultra Plus and FAB. The two mid-range affordable smartphones are priced at Rs 8,300 and Rs 4,999 and will be available at Idea’s retail store in the coming weeks.

Idea Ultra Plus is a mid-range smartphone the features a 5 inch FWVGA display with a resolution of 480×854 pixels. It’s powered by 1.3 GHz Quad-core processor coupled with 1GB RAM. The device got a 8 megapixel rear camera with flash support and a VGA front camera. It got 4GB of internal storage that can be further expanded up to 32 GB using microSD card. On the connectivity side the device supports 3G, 2G networks along with WiFi and Bluetooth. On the battery side the device carries 2,000mAh battery that can offer up to 10 hours of talktime on 3G.

On the other hand Idea FAB is a affordable android smartphone that features 4 inch display and powered by 1.2GHz dual-core processor coupled with 512MB RAM. It also got 4GB internal memory that can be expanded using microSD card. It spots a 3.2 megapixel rear camera and on the connectivity side the device got dual-SIM capability and support 3G, 2G networks along with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Both the smartphones run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system.

Both smartphones comes bundled with exclusive Idea 3G packs that offers 1.6 GB per month of data usage for 3 months on 3G or Unlimited data usage on 2G for first 3 months. Also customers can get free subscription to Idea TV with Rs 150 for 3 months.
